The Inaugural Blog

Welcome to the very first Penn Foster Blog.  It's official!  We have joined the blogging craze of the 21st century, claiming our own corner of the web where we hope to bring captivating and genuine perspectives to the blogging masses.  OK, so that might be a little over-the-top, but our hopes are to create a space where we can interact with our visitors and be a major contributor of engaging topics including real-world student thoughts and experiences, distance education trends, online learning opportunities and education in general.  And that is just a small sampling of what we have to offer.

So, stay tuned and welcome to the Penn Foster blog experience!

It is great idea. All penn foster students can share experiences and advise one another on the next step to take after our associate degrees.

This is a great idea and about time Penn Foster opened up a way for all Students and Alumni to communicate.
My experience with this school goes back to the ICS days when I was enrolled in an Electrician's Course. At Education Direct, I completed the Associate in Specialized Technology Degree Program specialzing in Electronics Technology. Recently, I completed the Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology.
My experience with the Administration and the Faculty has been nothing but excellent.
My courses were complete and structured for maximum learning and ease of understanding.

Any questions where I needed help with a lesson was solved simply by picking up the phone, calling the school, and conversing with a Faculty Member.

All the educational programs and courses that I have taken at Penn Foster, and by all its previous names, have been the stepping stones on which I was able to build a lifetime career in the electrical and electronics professions.

Hi Everyone!
I was very brave in signing up for an online degree, most people in my home town in Kenya believe "brick and mortar" classes are the only way to go.
They were shocked to see the high quality of study materials that Pennfoster sent for my first semester! 2 of my friends are now planning to enroll due to the demanding work and family lifestyle that they lead. I thought I should share my experience so far.

Are there any degree candidates that plan to continue their studies for a bachelor's degree? Graduates of penn foster has it been easy to transfer your credits into a four year college? Is penn foster regionally accreditied?

Hi! I plan on enrolling to Penn Foster for the veterinary technician program in the spring. I will already have a BS in biology by then but wish to specialize my field by receiving a liscence in vet tech. I would love some advice tho from anyone who has been through the Vet Tech program and especially if anyone found it easier/harder with already have a degree. THANKS!

Does anyone have any inside information if Penn Foster intends to offer a course for Professional Organization in the near future?
I have been searching (unsuccessfully) for a certification program for Professional Organizers...so far, no luck!

Hi Sean,

I noticed they just put two new certificate programs on the site that might be helpful:

PRINCIPLES OF MANAGEMENT AND HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT.

I just discovered this blog section!

I think it is a wonderful idea for the school to incorporate blogging into the website.

Keep working on making the site more interactive!

Keep up the good work!
