In control of your own education

It is human nature to feel the need to be in control of something, whether it is the thermostat, the arranging of a family party, your career, or your life as a whole. It is comforting to know that you can make things go the way you want and if a problem arises you can decide the way you want it handled. The security that comes with being in control of a situation is something you would never trade away because once that control is gone, even if it is that of the smallest issue, you are thrown out of alignment. Daily life is hard enough as it is to have to be constantly doing things the way other people want you to do them and at times this feeling of being “out of control” is very stressful. You deserve the right to feel in control of at least some aspect of your life and there is no better place to start than with your education.

Penn Foster’s Distance Education Programs allows you, the student, to be at the center of each lesson. There is no competition from other classmates and you will be free to participate without feeling intimidated by surrounding bodies. When you attend class you are able to work at your own pace without having to keep up with or slow down for twenty, thirty, fifty, or even one-hundred other students that may be at a brick-and-mortar lecture. You can contribute as much as you like without being edged-out by someone else in the class because you are the class. Your class takes place when you choose because you are in control of your schedule, you are in control of your learning experience, and you are in control of your education as a whole. Being able to feel comfortable with your learning environment is integral to a strong education and when that sense of control helps you earn your degree, you will see that online learning will provide you with the strongest education available today.

Nice topic! That is true, being an indepedent student can make you feel like having control of your own education without being "pushed" to finish a lesson on time or get into a room to listen their rules and what needs to be done..etc with penn foster I learn as fast as I want to,where I want to and when I want to learn.

Graduates of Penn Foster High School have been accepted to colleges and universities throughout the country. The difference between attending a public school and home schooling is that you actually have to attend on-campus classes in a traditional high school setting.
